May 17, 1971 – CLE @ WAS – Against the first batter in the bottom of the fourth, the Indians give up an embarrassing inside-the-park home run to Senators right fielder Tommy McCraw. The pop fly to center resulted in injuries to Indians left fielder John Lowenstein, center fielder Vada Pinson, and shortstop Jack Heidemann.
